We currently have a position for a M.Sc. or Ph.D. student to work on the structural biology of ubiquitin regulatory enzymes. Financial consideration for international student:
- Tuition and fees at the University of Windsor is for graduate work is about $28K
- Windsor has some of the lowest accommodation cost within the province that you can find a single room for ~$400–700 per month around the campus
- International student are eligible to apply for teaching assistantship (TA/GA)
- Outstanding candidates are eligible for graduate entrance scholarship. The entrance scholarship is considered by the graduate committee and assigned based on the availability of the fund and your excellency of academic achievement. Currently it is rated at $7,500 per year.
- You may apply for the William A. Redmond Memorial Bursary for students in Chemistry and Biochemistry.
- You can apply for the highly competitive Vanier Graduate Scholarship
- The University of Windsor has a quota of on average 3 Ontario Trillium Scholarship per year.

On Becoming of a Scientist
After being accepted into the Tong lab, you'll need to finish some basic training required by the University, and those required to work in a bio-safety level 2 (BSL2) lab. We will then finish a two-hour lab orientation. Each trainee will be tasked with a research project and is encouraged to take imitative to accomplish the project.
Meanwhile, all the trainees are encourage to apply for scholarships, fellowships that are available locally, provincially, or nationally. They are also encourage to attend conferences to present the research results.

Conference opportunities
- UWill Discover is a local conference for undergraduates and graduates to present their research, scholarship, and creative work to their fellow students, friends and family, and the world! The conference is hold at the end of March.
- Lancer leadership conference for the students, by the students, to show that there is no age limit to becoming a great leader.
- Southern Ontario Undergraduate Student Chemistry (SOUSCC) is a provincial conference for undergraduate research students in chemistry, biochemistry and related areas with the opportunity to present their research to their peers, university faculty, and government and industrial researchers. Registration usually opens from Feb. 1 to mid-March.
- Graduate students may apply to attend a national or international conference depending on the progress of the project or publication.
